In just a few more weeks to go before Hogwarts Legacy releases for the public to start their thrilling journey in the Harry Potter universe on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, a highly requested feature will not be added despite more and more video games adapting such feature.
Will Hogwarts Legacy Feature Cross-Save?
A user asked WB Games Support via Twitter if Hogwarts Legacy supports cross-save as the user wanted to switch playing between PC and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, WB Games Support outright confirmed Hogwarts Legacy will not support cross-save, and that the saved data will “stay on the platform it was created on”. The representative also added that you can link both platforms for rewards in each version of the game.
While having the same rewards on the same platform is a nice add-on, players are hoping that they continue their progress despite which platform they’re playing Hogwarts Legacy on. Being able to continue where I left off on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S on my gaming laptop or the Steam Deck is a great way to keep the players engaged.
Will Hogwarts Legacy get cross-save in the future?
WB Games didn’t confirm nor deny that Hogwarts Legacy will not get cross-saves in the future. If the Potterhead and the entire gaming community persistently request that the feature will be added, the publisher may reconsider having cross-saves. But for now, there is no news yet.
When will Hogwarts Legacy be released?
The Hogwarts Legacy release date is on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy will release on April 4, 2023, and the Nintendo Switch version will come out on July 25, 2023.
