Follow these steps to change your name in Starship Troopers Extermination:
- Step 1: Make sure Starship Troopers Extermination is closed or exit the game.
- Step 2: On Steam, navigate over to your Steam Name on the tabs.
- Step 3: Select Profile.
- Step 4: Select Edit Profile on the upper right of the screen below where it displays your level.
- Step 5: Change your Profile Name in the General Tab.
- Step 6: Scroll down and select Save.
- Step 7: Start Starship Troopers Extermination.
Since Starship Troopers Extermination is linked to your Steam account, it will display your Steam profile name. Not to worry, since you can change this at any time. Once you change your Steam profile name, this will reflect on the actual game itself. Everyone, not just you and your team, will be able to see the changes that you’ve made.
We did manage to change our names when playing Starship Troopers: Extermination. One of my friends got a kick out of being called Johnny Rico. There were people we were playing with in the 16-player lobby who definitely found it amusing as well.
Unfortunately, there’s no setting in the game’s options that lets you conveniently do this. Not at the time of this writing, at least. As Starship Troopers Extermination is still in early access, we could potentially see a more convenient way to change your name without having to fiddle with your Steam profile itself with the upcoming Starship Troopers Extermination roadmap and updates.
