This error may occur due to connection issues, which is why you’re seeing “vex input error. Resetting “Vex Locked,” which appears whenever you try to play in any activities that relate to Vex enemies in Destiny 2.

  • Check if Destiny 2 Servers are Running: Before you do anything, check online to see if Bungie isn’t doing any maintenance with the Destiny 2 servers. There’s nothing you can do if the servers are currently down.
  • Verify Net Connection: Check your internet connection and see if you’re having problems connecting online. It may be your ISP or your ethernet cable that’s the cause of this error. You may restart the router if the issue persists.
  • Restart Destiny 2: Restarting the game may fix the issue. Be sure you’re in a safe place first then close the game. Boot it up again and see if the vex input error is still a problem.
  • Check Your Firewall: Your Firewall may be blocking some of Destiny 2’s features. We recommend checking to see if it preventing the game from other activities.
  • Scan With Your Antivirus: Check for any malicious programs in the background by running a full antivirus scan. This could take a few hours depending on your PC.

There’s no sure fire way to fix the Ver Input Error in Destiny 2. At least not an official one that Bungie has provided. These standard fixes are methods that are good for getting rid of most of the problems in the game.
