Cooking in Palworld is a fun and efficient way to quickly fill yours and your pal’s hunger bars. New recipes, however, will become available as you level up your cooking station, and these meals call for particular ingredients, such as wheat.
You can grow wheat from Wheat Seeds, but the game doesn’t exactly show you how to get them as you play, but don’t fret. This guide will explain the best ways to Get Wheat Seeds and Farm Wheat in Palworld.
All Methods to get Wheat Seeds in Palworld
The first and main method to get wheat seeds is by purchasing it from Wandering Merchants for 100 gold each. Players can find a merchant NPC that will always spawn in the Small Settlement area, which is located to the west of the Grassy Behemoth Hills fast travel point. There’s a fast-travel point near the area, so you won’t have to travel that far. You also have the option to capture the merchant and bring it to your base for convenience.
The second method to get wheat seeds is by killing or butchering specific Grass type wild Pals, such as:
- Dinossom (No.64)
- Robinquill (No.48)
- Cinnamoth (No.41)
- Bristla (No.30)
- Petallia Area Boss (Lvl 28 Alpha Pal)
Dinossom is probably going to be the first pal you come across. This pal roams around the area between the starting point at the Plateau of Beginnings and the Grassy Behemoth Fast Travel Points. Several other pals that drop wheat seeds as loot can be found across the grasslands as you roam the central parts of the map.
How to Produce Wheat from Wheat Seeds
In order to grow Wheat Seeds, you first need to reach character level 15 and unlock the Wheat Plantation in the Technology Menu. Building this structure requires 3 Wheat Seeds, 35 Wood, and 35 Stone.
After building a Wheat Plantation, you can then manually plant and water the seeds, then wait for a certain amount of time to harvest it. The whole process is quite long, so it’s best to use specific pals that has Planting, Watering, and Gathering Work Sustainability to do the Job. For early-game, we recommend Lifmunk, Pengullet, and Robinquill. For late-game, players should utilize Lyleen, Jormuntide, and Frostallion Noct.

Wheat (which is made from wheat seeds) is mainly used for making Flour, a key ingredient that calls for the following food recipes in Palworld:
