Greg Pryjmachuk is no stranger to driving simulations as a former game developer working on the Formula 1 franchise but his new vision is a far cry from the high performance and eyes bleeding expense of the racing car. However the prototype of the game has already sparked the interest of the press with Kotaku.co.uk naming it as one of the games they are most looking forward to in 2016.
Having been “greenlit” on Steam some weeks back Jalopy has enjoyed some positive press feedback and both Greg and Excalibur are looking forward to a successful response from the community.
This unique concept features a fictional Laika 601 Deluxe motor car reminiscent of the collectable East German “Trabbie” and it will need much love and care to keep it going on this memorable road trip!
Jalopy is set for release into Early Access on 14th April 2016 at $12.99. By then it is expected that the game will be well into its development offering players a quality and expansive gaming experience. Excalibur are also eyeing up the prospect of Sony and Microsoft releases in due course.

Navigate miles and miles of tyre changing, fuel burning, carburettor busting, mud clattering terrain, through night and day, rain and shine, you’ll need to constantly adapt to whatever the procedurally generated world of Jalopy can throw at you.

The journey ahead of you is not easy, keep close attention to everything from the state of your tyres, the condition of your engine, or even the space in your trunk. A well maintained car is a well performing car. Repair each aspect of your scrappy little car, install unique upgrades to deal with the changing world. Everything from cargo weight to the condition of your carburettor will determine how your car performs out of the open road. Create a car that will be forever remembered as the little machine that could.

With the fall of the wall comes a great change, a shift in the very tides of your world that will open up new markets for you to either invest in yourself and become a baron of the open roads or shy away from and keep your head down just trying to make it to your destination.
