The Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 received numerous, targeted mainly on how the game looks far off from its PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S counterparts.
It’s also worth noting that NetherRealm solely worked on the Sony and Microsoft consoles, with QLOC for the PC port, and the Nintendo Switch port was passed on to Saber Interactive, the people behind World War Z, and Shiver Entertainment.
Ed Boon acknowledged the shortcomings of the Switch release. He assured fans of impending improvements, and with the latest update, he seems to have made good on that promise.
While not detailing all changes in its patch notes, this new update is known to bring a few enhancements and rectifications. It also adds in the Invasions mode’s first season, an aspect absent during the Switch version’s initial launch.
