NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon has recently announced the good news: Mortal Kombat 1 player 1 advantage bug has been fixed.
Just recently, the gaming community reported that they noticed picking player 1 in Mortal Kombat 1 gives an advantage in the game. According to YouTuber mrAPchem, he could perform some combos that Player 2 could not do. He demonstrated it with Sub-Zero, but it turns out every character in the game across all modes and in all versions can do these combos in player 1 while player 2 cannot.
This is an issue that needs to be fixed due to how unfair it is for player 2 during matches. After that, the “Player 1 advantage” was listed on publisher Warner Bros. Games’ Mortal Kombat 1 bug tracking website under the “in progress” section. Today, a new update has been revealed.
Mortal Kombat franchise co-creator Ed Boon was happy to report that the Player 1 advantage issue is finally fixed. While no new patch has been released yet, the fix is confirmed to be working. Boon promised that a new update is now being prepared and will be released soon.
NetherRealms is quick to action especially since this new iteration of the Mortal Kombat series is highly praised by fans and critics alike.
Mortal Kombat 12 is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
