Imitations of Life is one of the optional side quests in Nightingale where Victor Frankenstein seeks help in gathering research samples from the Bound. This is the first part of the quest chain for the peaceful route in obtaining the Automaton Charm Oil for the Gateway to The Watch quest. How to unlock the Imitations of Life quest
The Imitations of Life quest will be available as soon as you talk to Victor Frankenstein during the Gateway to The Watch quest. Victor Frankenstein can be found on his tower within the Desert Astrolabe realm. Partaking in this quest is optional, but completing it will give out additional rewards, plus it leads to the quest that unlocks The Doctor is Out Achievement.
Gather Bound Research Samples
The main objective of this quest is to gather Bound samples for Victor. These samples can be obtained from hunting down different kinds of Bound which are often found guarding points of interest within realms.

After obtaining all of the required materials, travel back to Victor and hand over the samples to him. This will complete the quest and you will be rewarded with the following:
