Official Destiny 2 Blog Gets Rebranded with Big Changes Coming

Changed for the third time.

Bungie has recently announced that the legendary This Week at Bungie blog posts are being rebranded and significant changes are happening soon.

This Week at Bungie Changed Forever

After many years, Bungie is finally rebranding the official Destiny 2 blog. Previously, it was known as the Bungie Weekly update and has changed for the third time. It was this week that the developers notified the fans that TWAB will be no more and will be renamed. It will now be called This Week in Destiny or TWID for short.

Marathon Possibly Getting Its Own Blog Post

Bungie did not clarify the reason for its decision to change the name, it did say that it has got to do with Bungie’s live-service revival of the Marathon franchise. The developers did confirm that TWID will continue its regular posting, it seems the other IP Marathon will be getting its own weekly blog post series too and it will have its naming convention and acronym as well. Maybe it will be called This Week in Marathon or TWIM for short.

Marathon is still in the early stages of development so no details have been shared yet. Bungie is also keeping silent about any specifics about the process so interested players will be kept in the dark. This new change in the Destiny 2 blog posts hints that Bungie will be sharing all of the details about Marathon once it gets fully revealed in the future.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
