Publisher Deep Silver and developer Starbreeze revealed that the upcoming Payday 3 closed beta will be available exclusively on two platforms.
Payday 3 Closed Beta Only Available on PC and Xbox Console
It was revealed today that the closed beta of Payday 3 will only be available on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X/S via Xbox Insider Hub App only. This co-op heist first-person shooter will run its closed beta from August 2 to 7, 2023. Fans will have to hurry since Microsoft confirmed that slots will only be offered on a first-come first-served basis. “We plan to open more space through the beta weekend so if you are unable to join, please check back later to join.”
No word yet if a closed beta on PS5 will be available later on. Payday 3 will launch on day one on Game Pass.
What to Expect
Players who join the closed beta will play as Payday’s four original clown-masked characters: Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Wolf. They will join the heist No Rest for the Wicked, which represents the classic Payday heists and tasks players with stealing from a small bank.
All difficulties will be playable, the level cap is Infamy Level 22, and Weapon Level Progression will be maxed at eight.
Payday 3 launches on September 21, 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
