PlayStation fans rejoice! If you bought the PlayStation Portal (PS Portal), Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today that the device is getting a cloud streaming feature—but in beta in select countries!

According to the official PlayStation Blog post, there are about over 120 games from its PS Plus Game Catalog that will support cloud streaming such as Ghost of Tsushima, Dave the Diver, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Monster Hunter: Rise, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

A new PlayStation Portal update releases later today, featuring:

Users can play up to 1080p/60fps, which is highly dependent on the user’s overall internet connection speed and stability. The cloud streaming feature will also fully support the DualSense controller and a PlayStation Plus Cloud Storage where saved progress can be stored up to 100GB.

How to Access PS Portal Cloud Streaming (Beta)?

Before you can access the cloud streaming feature, you must have a PS Portal device. You will also need the following prerequisites:

    • PSN Account
    • Active PlayStation Plus Premium Membership
    • Access to broadband internet Wi-Fi (for 720p: 7 Mbps, for 1080p: 13 Mbps). 5 Mbps to establish a cloud streaming session.

To access the Cloud Streaming (Beta) on PS Plus:

    1. Open “Quick Menu” and access “Settings” on your PS Portal.
    2. Select the “Cloud Streaming (Beta)” button
    3. Switch the Cloud Streaming (Beta) toggle on (this will be off by default).

Where is Cloud Streaming (Beta) Available for PS Portal?

During this beta, the cloud streaming feature is not available worldwide but in select countries only. Here is the list of countries that support PS Portal’s cloud streaming (beta) service as of today, November 19, 2024:
