Game developer Double Fine recently shared a new detail about their upcoming video game Psychonauts 2.
It seems the developers want everyone to enjoy their upcoming game, no matter their age. The news came from a post from the official Twitter account of the studio. They also quoted a post from Xbox about “beating the game on lowest difficulty is still beating the game.”
In a reply after that quote, it reads “If you beat Psychonauts 2 with the invincibility toggle on you still beat P2”. The developers want to make sure everyone enjoys the game with or without the help of that option.
“All people should be able to enjoy games. All ages, all possible needs. It’s an ongoing and important process for our industry and a challenge we need to met,” the devs continued. “End of the day? We want you to have fun, to laugh, to experience a story that affects you. On whatever terms you want.”
Psychonauts 2 launches on August 25, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be day one on Xbox Game Pass as well.
