How to get the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask Accessory

When you think of the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask, you’ll probably be thinking of HUNK. While there’s no way to play as him in the main campaign of the remake, you can get his gas mask accessory for Leon to wear. Here’s a guide that shows you how to unlock the gas mask, what it does, and how to equip it.

How to get the Gas Mask in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

You must complete the main story mode at least once on the Professional difficulty settings. This will make the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask accessory purchasable in the Extra Content Shop for 2000 CP.

It’s worth noting that the Gas Mask cannot be purchased with Pesetas or Spinels. You’ll need to earn Challenge Points in order to purchase the accessory for yourself. Earning CP requires that you complete challenges, which you can view from the menu. Once you have enough, go ahead and purchase it at the Extra Content Shop, which can be accessed from the Main Menu by going to Bonus Content and then Extras.

So what does the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask do? It’s a cosmetic that makes Leon look like HUNK from Resident Evil 2 and gives him a bonus perk in the form of letting you use aim assist even in Professional and Hardcore difficulties. While you can turn on aim assist even without it, this is only available in Assisted and Casual modes. If you don’t like the aim assist perk that it gives you, you’re still able to remove it by going to the options and turning off aim assist entirely.

Equipping the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask doesn’t actually give Leon HUNK’s full gear. It’s just his helmet that Leon puts on. You can even still see his blond hair behind it. The accessory won’t offer any kind of extra protection for you. It’s still a pretty cool accessory to have that doesn’t rely on modding Leon to get.

That’s how to get and unlock the Resident Evil 4 Remake Gas Mask. We hope this article was informative.
