Game company CI Games is happy to announce that the much-anticipated PlayStation 5 version of its FPS hit, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, is finally getting a release date.
The next-gen PS version of the game is launching on August 24, 2021. It follows the successful launch earlier this month on June 4 on other platforms like the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. The digital sales have exceeded the series’ previous tittle by 170 percent in just 10 days since launch.
The PS5 version will see the game further enhanced with players benefitting from Dualsense adaptive triggers that will give each weapon its own distinct feeling, improved SSD loading times, upgraded textures and visuals, and the ability to play in either performance mode or visual mode. The prior is 60fps and 2K while the latter is 30fps and 4K.
The first major DLC will be released soon and free of charge to the entire player base across all versions including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will feature a brand-new and extensive region, complete with additional objectives and contracts.
The PS4 versions both digital and physical have the free digital upgrade option to the PS5 version. It is ready to download upon its release on August 24.
