How to Start the Spot’s Hiding Spot Side Quest?

This objective will be available after completing the Wild West Jellyfish Fields map campaign and raising the Chum Bucket back to normal. If you’ve already done this, talk to Plankton (you should see a bubble with a red flag on top of his head) in front of Chum Bucket to start the quest.

Tips: You may quickly travel to any checkpoint on the map by using the fast travel to checkpoints feature. To do this, open your world map and select on the little clams that represent various areas throughout the map.

There are a total of 7 hiding spots for Plankton’s pet, Spot, and you can only find 1 Spot on each map. Here’s where you can find them in order:

1. Wild West Jellyfish Fields

Fast-travel to the Cacteen Hills checkpoint. Once there, follow the path to your left, past through the Cactus signboard and climb up the trampoline. You’ll immediately find Spot once you reach the top.

2. Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom

Fast-travel to the Backlot checkpoint and climb the cargo with Squidward’s face to your left. Once on top, look to your right and travel across the Tiki and inflating platform to reach Spot.

3. Pirate Goo Lagoon

Fast-travel to the Shipwreck Treasure checkpoint and continue along the main path forward until you reach the rocking ship with green cargos. Once there, look to your right, and you’ll find Spot on top of a crow’s nest. Use the surfboard beneath the bamboo cage to travel across.

4. Halloween Rock Bottom

Fast-travel to the Kandyville checkpoint. As soon as you arrive, turn around and you’ll find spot on top of the rock. Move across using the bus platform and trampoline to reach the top.

5. Prehistoric Kelp Forest

Simply fast-travel to the Cave Painting Cave checkpoint, then turn around immediately once you arrive to find spot.

6. Medieval Sulfur Fields

This one can be found at the Meanderson River checkpoint, on top of a wooden platform by the river. After you fast-travel, go across the river first, past 2 tree logs, and karate kick 2 balloons to go up further. Now use the inflatable platform and surf your way across to reach the wooden platform where Spot is located.

7. Jelly Glove World

Fast-travel to the Central Plaza checkpoint. Once there, take the path to your left, onto the theater, and go around the pillar in the middle, behind the bouncer’s back, to find Spot.
