Star Wars Jedi Survivor “Map Upgrade: Chests” Overview

Map Upgrade: Chests is an upgrade that would let you reveal all of the chest collectibles in all of the maps within the different planets in the game. A marker can be shown on the map that will pinpoint the locations of any unopened chests.

How to unlock the Map Upgrade: Chests in Jedi Survivor

To unlock the Map Upgrade: Chests in Jedi Survivor, you will need to venture into the Phon’qi Caverns in Koboh.

Start by traveling to the Foothills Falls area. You will find a Relter perched on a ledge nearby. Ride it and glide to the general direction where it is facing which should be an area with a shed.

Check the side of the shack to find a basement door. Pull out the doors and then jump into the basement to reach the Phon’qi Caverns.

There are droid enemies down in this cavern that explode when they get close to you. There are also some bomb plants that you can grab and throw to use as grenades or to blow up the purple electrified gates that you will encounter later on.

As you get into the cavern, look for the machinery on the ground that you can lift to reveal a hole leading downwards.

Continue navigating through the cavern until you reach a collapsed bridge. From this bridge, jump towards the right and you will be approaching a grapple point that will help you land on the other side.

You will arrive at an area that served as a campsite with a deep hole nearby. Look up and you will see a boulder that you can pull. Do so and it will create another hole in the ground that you can jump into safely.

In the lower cavern, you will encounter a Rancor. You can defeat it to make your navigation in the area easier.

At this point, you can choose to choose to take the long route to explore the rest of the cavern, find the other collectibles that are along the way, and arrive at the triple boss fight. But since you now know that the bombs can be used to blow up the gates, take the one that is growing nearby and use it on the gate as a short cut.

Once the gate is broken, prepare to fight against three raider bosses all at once. Defeat all of them then slice open the locked door nearby.

Continue following the path until you reach a terminal. Interact with this terminal and you will get the Map Upgrade: Chests which will show you all of the Unfound Chests, Stim Upgrades, and BD-1 Upgrades that are present in every map of the game.
