Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Duck Guide

Ducks are one of the animals that can be raised on the farm in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. These birds love to hang around bodies of water and waddle around all day. Read ahead as we talk more about ducks, how to get them, and how to raise them in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

    SoSAWL: How to get Ducks

Ducks are a special case when it comes to acquiring them for the farm. To get ducks, you will need to purchase the Pond upgrade for your farm for 10,000G through the Ledger, and make sure that you have at least 2 available slots in your Coop.

Once both of these conditions are met, your spouse will call you one day over at the Pond to show you the pair of ducks that they found, one male and one female. You then have the option to keep them for the farm or just leave them be. If you choose to keep them, they will follow you back to the coop, and you can give them names.

Additionally, these ducks can breed and lay fertilized eggs. You can hatch these eggs, as long as you have available slots in the coop, by placing them over at the incubator or by leaving them alone in the Coop; chickens will sit on the duck eggs to incubate them.

    SoSAWL: Feeding Ducks

Ducks can be fed with Bird Feed placed in the Coop’s feeding trough, or they can be taken outside to graze.

    SoSAWL: Nurturing Ducks

Ducks need to be snuggled to raise their affection, and they also have to be fed every day to stay healthy. The higher their affection, the better the quality of their eggs will be.

    SoSAWL: Duck Eggs

Duck Eggs are not that distinct compared to chicken eggs. However, ducks can only lay eggs once every two days in contrast to chickens that can lay eggs daily. The prices between duck and chicken eggs are the same.

    • Normal Egg – 100G
    • Fertilized Egg – 150G
    • Golden Egg – 500G
