Players can adopt a cat and take care of it at their farm in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Adopting one is as easy as taking care of it, and it brings some variety to the animals that live on the farm. Read ahead as we talk more about the cat and how to take care of it in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

How to get the Cat in SoS: AWL

The cat can be obtained when Romana visits your farm during the Autumn of Year 2. To trigger it, go inside your house during noontime. You will then hear a knock at the door, and then you will meet Romana with a stray cat. She found the stray cat in her villa, and she is too worried to leave it unattended, so she asks you to take care of it.

You are then given the option to take care of the cat or refuse. If you choose to refuse, this event will happen again in the Autumn of the following year. If you refuse twice, then Romana will not visit again with the cat for the third year.

If you accept, you then get to give the cat a name. Unlike the dogs and the horses, you can only get one type of cat, which is the black cat.

How to take care of the Cat

The cat’s affection grows over time. To take care of it, you only need to make sure to keep its food bowl full, which is located outside of the house next to the dog house. It can also be picked up, though it is not necessary to increase its affection. Unlike the dog, the cat cannot be trained to do tricks.
