System Shock Remake Virus Mission Level 4: Storage Walkthrough
For the Virus Mission, you will have to get some gadgets that will help you in the next encounter, as well as a number code from the Storage Level. From the Maintenance Level, head towards the Central Hub and ride the elevator to get to the Storage Level.
CPU Nodes – Central
Your first objective upon arriving in the Storage Level is to destroy the CPU nodes, which can be found in the northeastern area within the Central. Exit the elevator and explore the room to find the Audio Log – New Moving Schedule. Then take the gravlifts to the east to reach the room where the Restoration Bay is, as well as the Cargo Lift and the Audio Log – Stashed Pack.
Head back to the north for now through the Central Hub, where you can find the Audio Log – KS-My Wife, then head to the room towards the east. This room has another Power Station and the Audio Log – Bridges Damaged. Up ahead is a barrier that you can disable by pressing the switch nearby.
In the next room, you will have to destroy the CPU Nodes in order to lower the level of security. Once done, the security level should now be lower than 20%. Before leaving the area, take note of the number that appears on the screen near the nodes, as you will need it later.
Environmental Protection – Storage 9
Make your way back to the southeastern area where the Restoration Bay is, then continue exploring the room down south where you will encounter a Gorilla Tiger. After killing it, go to the terminal that opens up Storage 9. The code can be found in the Audio Log – Stashed Pack and the Audio Log – Enviro-Packs that can be found in Storage 6, southwest of the level (code: 838).
Inside this room is the Environmental Protection Pack V1 that you will need to get some resistance against the radiation, plus a Magnum 2100 Pistol and a Mod-Kit Station. There’s also a Z-44 Plastique to be found in the room; this item will be needed in a later mission, so you can either pick it up now or later, or maybe just stash it inside the Cargo Lift for now.
Turbo Motion Boots V1 and V2
Turbo Motion Boots give you enhanced movement, and you can find both V1 and V2 within the level. The V1 can be found within the central area guarded by an enforcer and will help in reaching the northern area, where some security cameras can be found. The V2 can be found in Storage 6, but only after lowering the level of security to 0%.
You have all that you need to complete the Virus Mission for now, so you can head back to the elevator and go back to the Maintenance level or continue exploring the other storage areas. One storage area that you can explore is Storage 5, where you have to do a platforming puzzle with gravlifts. Through this, you will be able to get to the southeasternmost room, where you can get the Micro Pocket Dimension V1 gadget that expands your inventory space.
