Bethesda officially confirms that The Elder Scrolls 6 is now in early development.
Bethesda Head of Publishing Pete Hines recently spoke to media outlet Vandal discussing about the launch of Starfield. He then mentioned that Elder Scrolls 6 has finally completed the pre-production stage. This time around, the team has moved it to the development phase, which is good news.
Hines did clarify that it is not all good news, unfortunately. He was asked if the game would get more news once Starfield, and he flatly said no, it will take longer to share news about it. “We have put all of our studio’s focus on making this game the best it can be,” he said. “And yes, there are people working on The Elder Scrolls 6, but this is what the studio has focused on. So no, you are not going to hear soon about The Elder Scrolls 6. Starfield is our focus for now, and it’s going to remain our priority for a while before we talk about anything else.”
Hines also said that the game is still in its early development. Bethesda Director Todd Howard said the same thing during an interview earlier this month.
