The Last of Us Composer Let It Slip a New Version of Part 2 is Coming

The Last of Us Part 2 is seemingly all but confirmed now.

The popular composer of The Last of Us might have just let it slip that a new version of Part 2 will be coming soon.

The Last of Us Composer Teases New Cameo in Part 2

During an interview with Blender, The Last of Us series composer Gustavo Santaolalla teased that his cameo in the original version of the sequel will now be expanded in what he claims “new editions”. “In the new editions you can make me play certain themes and well, I can’t tell you anything else,” he said.

Gustavo’s Involvement in Series

Santaolalla is heavily involved in the series since he is a composer of many beloved tracks. He was also the one who made the beautiful opening song specifically for HBO’s The Last of Us TV series. Due to that, he was given a cameo appearance in The Last of Us Part 2 as a survivor who resides in Jackson. His small cameo involves him sitting on a chair and playing the banjo, which he actually does in real life. His beautiful songs involve him playing the banjo in concerts.

Big Chance of Happening

If it is him confirming that he will also be present in these “new editions”, then there is a big chance that Naughty Dog will be announcing the remaster or remake of the game soon. There is no official announcement yet, but this might be just the trigger to make it happen soon.

The Last of Us Part 2 is already available on PS4.
