CD Projekt RED’s public relations representative has sent us an update regarding the details of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition inclusions.
According to the statement via e-mail provided:
“CD PROJEKT RED is planning a physical release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition for late January 2023. It will be available both for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The box will include a disc containing the base game and the Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine expansions. All official DLCs and upgrades released during the last seven years by CD PROJEKT RED will also be part of this set — including the free next-gen update, featuring dozens of visual, performance, and technical enhancements (including ray tracing support, faster loading times on consoles, a variety of mods integrated into the experience, and much more). The box will contain only the aforementioned disc. Price and availability are determined by retailers in each territory.“
This confirms that the previous reports about the Complete Edition include additional collectibles like stickers, maps, and compendiums that will not be part of the physical release. However, these extra goodies may still be offered by specific retailers to entice buyers to buy the Complete Edition.
ORIGNAL STORY by Christian Pepito
Is The Witcher 3 next-gen physical copy going to get released soon? A new leak claims it to be true.
A new leak that has recently appeared online could have possibly revealed the release date of the physical retail version of The Witcher 3 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This was spotted by website PPE, the listing was spotted on a retail listing on Ultima. This alleged listing has been removed now, but the internet already has a screenshot of it. It says the game will be the Complete Edition and will be available for purchase for only PLN 159.90, which is equivalent to more or less $34.99.
The Complete Edition will include a copy of the game and all previously released DLC and updates. This will include the newly announced Netflix-inspired content. It also adds the new-gen features like ray-tracing support, and a few mods to improve gameplay experience.
Included in the physical retail copies are stickers, a map, and The Witcher Universe Compendium.
This is still a leak and no official announcement has been seen from CD Projekt RED, so take this with a grain of salt for now.
The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
