According to Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan, there are three PlayStation 5 exclusives that will have PlayStation 4 versions.
Ryan stated that the PS4 community will have to transition to the next-gen console PS5 at some point, but it will be at different times. To compensate for those who cannot buy a next-gen console yet, they are happy to announce that there are three of their exclusive that will have PS4 versions. These titles are:
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Sackboy A Big Adventure
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
These games were supposed to take advantage of the ultra-high-speed SSD and the DualSense controller features, but the PS4 owners will be able to enjoy these titles when they get released.
Ryan noted that the PS4 digital versions of the launch games will have a free upgrade on boht PS5 consoles. The PS4 disc versions of these games will have a free upgrade on the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive.
