1. Final Fantasy Tactics – Whoah, man. This game. Where do I start? Well, this game got me started into the whole computer gaming world. At first I just watched my friend play this on the Playstation 1. I actually thought this game was a whole lot of boring stuff. Then something just clicked in my head, this game plays like a massive chess game!
From there I got hooked. Ramza Beoulve, the fallen heretic, and Delita Heiral, the celebrated king. These two, along with dozens of other characters you encounter, form the epic of the War of the Lions. This game has a massive job system (which, for game completionists, would be absolute heaven) amazing character development, and it even features a Cloud Strife cameo. This game universe is so massive it got its own franchise spin-off: The Ivalice Alliance. Now why did I place FFT instead of FFXII as my top Final Fantasy? Well, it’s true that FFT and FFXII happened in the same universe, but I love FFT (and its entirety) more. And Vaan was annoying.
