Game developer Hardsuit Labs and publisher Paradox Interactive just announced that they have parted ways with two key developers behind upcoming and recently delayed video game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
There seems to be a lot of things happening behind the scenes in the development of the upcoming sequel. This new announcement came out of the blue and these individuals seem to be key participants in development.
A statement from the developer and publisher was announced recently stating that Lead Narrative Designer Brian Mitsoda and Creative Director Ka’ai Cluney have been fired from the studio. Paradox Interactive says that it was a joint decision, but Mitsoda claimed that he was shocked of their decision of firing him from the development team after many years of contribution.
Mitsoda talked with Rocket Paper Shotgun about his circumstances:
I was not part of the conversations that led to the decision to delay production, and to my knowledge, there were no delays caused by the Bloodlines 2 narrative development. I am confident and proud of the work that I and my team put forward. When that work will be seen and what form it will take is unknown to me.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed to 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
