WWE 2K23 has been confirmed as the next entry to the popular wrestling video game series by 2K. The cover star, game modes, and more have been confirmed with the details of its release date.
WWE 2K23 Release Date and Editions
According to the official website, the WWE 2K23 release date is March 17, 2023, and it will feature John Cena as the cover star for the upcoming entry. His image will be featured in three various editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Icon Editions.
WWE 2K23 Promise to Fans
The developers also promised that the next iteration will have “incredibly realistic graphics, animations, camera, angles, and lighting plus accessible controls and new optional pinning mechanic.” These will be added to offer a highly immersive experience to players. There will be a new mode called WarGames, a unique twist on the 2K Showcase featuring John Cena. There are improvements for MyGM mode too.
WWE 2K23: WarGames
WarGames is an action-packed fan-favorite that makes its debut in this iteration. It has 3v3 and 4v4 multiplayer gameplay inside two side-by-side rings, surrounded by a double-steel cage.
WWE 2K23: Showcase
Showcase is an interactive sports documentary narrated by John Cena. It will cover key moments and the toughest opponents of his storied 20-year WWE career. Take on the role of each marquee opponent like Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect.
WWE 2K23: Universe Mode
Universe mode is the ultimate sandbox mode for WWE2K23. It puts players in charge of WWE, from Superstar rosters, feuds, champions, weekly shows, and Premium Live Events.
WWE 2K23: MyFaction, MyRise, MyGM
MyFaction allows players to collect and upgrade cards of WWE Superstars and Legends to build the ultimate faction. It features online multiplayer as well.
MyRise allows players to create their own character and shape their career as a WWE Superstar. It will feature distinct storylines – The Lock and The Legacy. MyGM offers control on a weekly show and compete against rival managers for brand supremacy. It will feature more GMs to choose from, additional show options, multiple seasons, expanded match cards, and more match types for up to 4 players.
WWE 2K23 Pre-Order Bonus
The WWE 2K23 pre-order bonus offers the Bad Bunny pack but also available for the Deluxe and Icon Editions at launch. The only way to get this pack for the standard and cross-gen editions is via pre-order, so take this chance to do so before March 16, 2023. It adds Bad Bunny as a playable character to the game’s roster and gives a Ruby-tier Bad Bunny MyFaction card.
