Xbox has now confirmed that it will be joining the upcoming Gamescom 2023 event.
Xbox is now the second of the “big three” gaming companies to join the upcoming German gaming event this year. Aside from Xbox, Bethesda will also be joining the festivities as well. The first of the big three to announce its attendance was Nintendo a few months back.
“Breaking – Xbox and Bethesda will join us on the showfloor for Gamescom 2023! More details soon,” said the official announcement from the Gamescom account on Twitter.
Unfortunately, if the previous report is accurate, PlayStation will not join Gamescom 2023. Only two major gaming companies will be on the showfloor this year. This was previously reported by the German industry publication GamesMarkt.
The organizers Koelnmesse and the German Games Industry Association have revealed that 10 percent more companies have already registered for the upcoming event compared to last year. They registered as of the middle of March 2023.
Gamescom is scheduled from August 23-27, 2023. Gamescom Opening Night Live will be hosted and produced by Geoff Keighley and will be held on August 22, 2023. This will be the kick-off showcase for the upcoming event.
