Xbox One owners will never miss next-gen thanks to the cloud

Microsoft’s alluring E3 2021 games showcase alongside Bethesda was full of upcoming titles, with the majority of them releasing on Xbox Game Pass day one. Apparently, the announcement of making next-gen only games available on Xbox One is hidden deep within the wall of texts of their Xbox Wire post.

For the millions of people who play on Xbox One consoles today, we are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming, just like we do with mobile devices, tablets, and browsers.

    Will Turtle, Xbox Wire EIC

Turtle stated that Microsoft didn’t forget about its Xbox One installbase, and as part of their efforts bringing next-generation only games to Xbox One, Xbox Cloud Gaming will be the answer. Xbox One owners who are not yet ready to move to Xbox Series X|S, they will have the option to play these nexr-gen only titles on their Xbox One through the app.

It’s amazing how Microsoft is making sure that no one gets left behind, and with cloud gaming as part of their business strategy, this becomes more apparent that console generations are slowly becoming irrelevant for Microsft. Hence why they consider Amazon and Google as their main competitors, not Sony.

What do you think of this move by Microsoft? Do you believe this will be the answer for those who can’t afford yet to purchase an Xbox Series X|S? Let us know in the comments below!
