The Monolift Soft development team has assured fans that Xenoblade Chronicles will still have more stories to tell even after the launch of its third entry.
Developer Genki Yokota recently spoke with Nintendo in an interview talking about the future of the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. They did say that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was the culmination of the series so fans are quite curious as to what they meant by that. They are also scared that it could mean that it would be the end.
Yokota answered: “Yes it will still go on.” They plan to continue making entries for the franchise “as long as possible”.
Speaking of future content, the development team also mentioned about the postgame content that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will get after launch. According to them, the game will have a lot of DLCs to add and fans will definitely enjoy the sheer amount of it. Even the story DLC will be as big as the previous game’s DLC with possibly 40 hours worth of content or even more.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on July 29, 2022 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
