Game company Microsoft recently announced that Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 titles will be free to play for this weekend with the Xbox Live Gold.
The three games will be joining Free Play Days starting today until Oct. 4. Players will be able to enjoy them in full. This is a great way to prepare the fans and the newcomers to the upcoming new game Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It will be launching on Day 1 with the Xbox Series S/X on Nov. 10.
Like a Dragon will be a whole different game than its predecessors since it will be turn-based. All of the previous games including Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 6 are action fighting games that follows on the story of popular character Kazuma Kiryu. The new one introduces a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga.
Microsoft suggests playing Yakuza 0 first before trying out the other games. They are even saying that completing all three titles for the whole weekend would be difficult, but not impossible.
