Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Pre-Launch Trailer Reveals More Cutscenes and Gameplay

Nintendo has finally revealed the final The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom trailer which was over three minutes and it is glorious.

The third and final trailer before the official launch of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom has finally aired and it reveals a lot of new content that previous videos did not show. In this 3-minute clip, we finally see the biggest and meanest villain of all Zelda games, Ganondorf, in all of his glorious red-mane and beard and firing up with his powerful evil-looking aura. In another shot, we finally see Princess Zelda in her new short-haired look with a different outfit. He is also with an unknown being who looks to be of large size.

The trailer also showed a LOT of new characters that fans have not met in previous titles. There is a new female character that can shoot powerful rays of light from her hands, a new group that joins Link in his quest and sometimes in battles, and a lot of new gameplay. In just 3 minutes, it seems the clip showed most of Link’s new abilities that are unique to the sequel and they are definitely hyping up the fans.

Speaking of gameplay, the video also showed new monsters, traps, platforms, and more. There is one scene where Link jumps down a hole that is filled with red lasers that he must evade or else he gets cut into pieces or burned. In another scene, it shows a large green golem coming out from a wall. The whole clip is filled with so much new stuff that it needs to be paused to appreciate them all.

The last bit of the clip shows Zelda holding Link’s legendary sword and waiting for him to find her in some strange new land. This has exceeded the expectations of fans and surprisingly, all of these scenes are only playable on the Nintendo Switch.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12, 2023 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
