In the lieu of a global pandemic, Electronic Arts has cancelled competitive events for all their games originally set for this year. This will unfortunately persists until the situation around the world sees some improvement.
All games of EA that have live competition are on hold. The only exception being broadcasts produced by people in remote locations and online events.
Electronic Arts is showing concern regarding COVID-19 by recommending all employees from North America, Europe, and Australia to work in the comfort of their own homes. The only ones going to the office being business critical staff. For staff and vendors that cannot work remotely, EA will still pay them for their services.
We don’t anticipate major changes in our games or services as a result of our teams working from home. But we’re learning through this process as well and patience will be key. We’re constantly talking and working with our teams across the world to evolve with the situation
