The TGS Management Office made an important announcement recently stating that the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2020 has been cancelled.

TGS 2020 was supposed to be scheduled on Sept. 24 to 27. Instead of a physical event format, the management has opted for an online version. This is to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to everyone planning to join the event if it happened. This was supposed to be held at Makuhari, Messe.
The novel coronavirus has made the situation in Japan unpredictable, which is why the organizer and the co-organizers have reached this decision after a long consideration. They want to prioritize the health and safety of the visitors, exhibitors, and stakeholders.
There will be more information announced later on the official website and press releases on late May.
