She has amassed quite a number of followers which caught Epic Game’s attention and now players are getting a Chica Fortnite skin to add to their collection.
Epic isn’t slowing down with adding cosmetics to their game, because while the Star Wars event is currently underway and reselling all the old Star Wars Fortnite skins, the Chica Fortnite skin has been added to the roster of skins players can collect as part of the Chica Icon Series Set.
You can actually get the Chica Fortnite skin for free before it comes into the Item Shop. According to the official Epic Games blog, there’s a way to do this starting May 5, 2022. On this article, we’ll teach you how to earn the Chica Fortnite skin and other Chica cosmetics without having to spend some V-Bucks.
How to Get the Chica Fortnite Skin For Free?
You will be given the chance to earn the Chica Fortnite Skin without paying any V-Bucks for it by participating in the Chica Cup Zero Build Duos on May 5, 2022. You’ll have to earn enough points by eliminating other players and placing high on the match placement.
Points on Match Placement:
- Victory Royale: 25 Points
- 2nd: 22 Points
- 3rd: 20 Points
- 4th: 18 Points
- 5th: 17 Points
- 6th: 16 Points
- 7th: 15 Points
- 8th: 14 Points
- 9th: 13 Points
- 10th: 12 Points
- 11th: 11 Points
- 12th: 10 Points
- 13th: 9 Points
- 14th: 8 Points
- 15th: 7 Points
- 16th: 6 Points
- 17th: 5 Points
- 18th – 19th: 4 Points
- 20th – 21st: 3 Points
- 22nd – 23rd: 2 Points
- 24th – 25th: 1 Point
Eliminating other players gives you 1 point. If you can earn the highest point, you’ll be rewarded with the Chica Fortnite skin as well as the Chica back bling for free. You can earn the Chica Was Here Spray by scoring at least 8 points which shouldn’t be too challenging of a feat.
There is a requirement you have to fulfill first. Before you can start racking up points, you have to be at least Level 50 or above to participate in the Chica Cup Zero Build Duos. To see what level your account is, to to the “Career” tab. You also have to have 2FA (two-factor authentication) enabled on your Epic Games account to qualify.
How to Get the Chica Fortnite Pollito Spray
Play at least a single match of the Chica Cup or Chica’s Fun Run to get the Pollito Spray that’s part of the Chica Icon Series. There was a different requirement to get the Pollito Spray but that was changed on May 9, 2022.
Originally, this was being given to players who linked their Epic Games and Twitch account and watched at least an hour’s worth of stream. However due to an error, Epic is instead awarding it to players who have simply played a single game of the two modes mentioned above.
How to Play The Chica Cup in Fortnite?
You’ll have to wait for your region’s specific three-hour time window for the event. You can find this by going to the Compete tab in-game. During this period, you can play up to three hours of the Chica Cup Zero Build Duos and earn points for free cosmetics.
The Chica Cup will specifically take place in the Zero Build mode so you’ll have to rely on your gunplay and a friend to get high placements in the match. There are multiple cosmetics you can earn from your participation.
Fortnite Chica Icon Series Set
The Chica Icon Series Set have five variants: the default Chica Style, Prismatic Streak Style, Royale Streak Style, Shades Style, and Hunter Mask Style. See below for what they look like.
How much does the Chica skin cost? The Chica Fortnite skin and its variants can be bought in the Item Shop can be bought for 1,500 V-Bucks. You can buy the Chica Bundle which includes the skins, Aida’s Edge Pickaxe, the Chica Star Back Bling, and the Pollo Dance emote for 1,800 V-Bucks. These cosmetic items will be available for purchase on May 7, 2022 at 8 PM ET.
The Chica Icon Series set doesn’t include the Chica Was Here and Pollito sprays. You’ll have to earn both of those through participation instead of purchasing them with V-Bucks from the Item Shop.
Chica’s Fun Run in Fortnite
You can participate an Chica’s Fun Run Creative Island obstacle course made by creator team “KyberCreative” that pits you against deadly traps and fall damage as you platform around the environment. The Island code for Chica’s Fun run is 8432-7199-6378.
