Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Not Canceled Says Nintendo

Nintendo has recently confirmed that Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is definitely not canceled.

The upcoming turn-based strategy game has been reported to be already completed and ready for release but had to pause due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After that, details were a bit skimpy as Nintendo kept silent with no announcements, no updates, or anything that would give fans information. Fans were desperately waiting for news during the latest Nintendo Direct but to no avail.

This has changed now with a new update by journalist Stephen Totilo on Twitter.

I asked Nintendo if Advance Wars 1 + 2 has been cancelled, given the lack of news about it since it was delayed due to the invasion of Ukraine.

Nintendo rep's reply: "The release has been delayed. We will announce the new date once it has been determined."

A short statement from Nintendo was released in response to the many inquiries about the game since it was absent on the latest Nintendo Direct. This is now the latest update of the game by them after the long silence.

“The release has been delayed,” says the spokesperson for Nintendo. “We will announce a new date once it has been determined.”

Fans now have hope that the game will still be released in the future but now they will have to wait when that will be. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
