Arkane Studios has recently revealed new details about Deathloop GOLDEN LOOP update and a new trailer to celebrate the upcoming launch.
A new trailer was released to celebrate the upcoming launch of the new GOLDEN LOOP Update and the Xbox Series X/S version. The studio has also shared new information about the upcoming update that will launch tomorrow.
The GOLDEN LOOP Update will introduce crossplay for PvP matchmaking across Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store, PSN, and Xbox accounts. Players can either choose Cross-Platform Matchmaking setting to any or with the same platform. They can even set the controllers to any kind or the same ones the players are using.
The Xbox console and PC versions have cross-purchase and cross-save features. Buy the game via the Microsoft Store on either Xbox or PC, which will allow players to play it on any Microsoft platform and continue their gameplay where they left it off.
A new ability will be introduced called Fugue. It is a projectile that will slow down and confuse a target, which will briefly render them harmless. It has four discoverable upgrades:
- Coda: Extended duration
- Earworm: Cast a Fugue “mine” on a surface
- Discord: Target becomes hostile toward its allies
- Syncopation: On target’s death, Fugue affects nearby enemies
A new weapon will be introduced called the HALPS Prototype. It is a new energy-based rifle that can fire continuously laser-like beams. Players can fire the beam at a turret or security camera to refract the beam and hit enemies with bank shots.
A new enemy called the Paint-Bomber is also revealed. They wear a bandolier of paint-filled explosives that they can ignite and attack players by charging at them.
Julianna’s Masquerade ability will now have its own upgrades. It will have four possible upgrade options:
- Ensemble: Target up to three NPCs with Masquerade
- Mend: Regenerate health while using Masquerade on an NPC
- Expose: When an NPC affected by Masquerade dies or spots Colt, Colt is automatically tagged
- Incognito: Damage taken while using Masquerade is converted to Energy
There are 19 new trinkets that will be added to Deathloop with the new update. These are 2-in-1 trinkets that combine the abilities of two existing trinkets for more possibilities.
There will be a new extended ending with the GOLDENLOOP update and other new surprises.
Deathloop is now available on PC and PS5. It will launch on Xbox Series X/S tomorrow, September 22, 2022 with the new GOLDEN LOOP update on all platforms.
