A Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure is one of the newest voyages that can be taken in Sea of Thieves. In this voyage, players get to look for the buried treasure chests that were deemed cursed.

Where to purchase the A Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage
The A Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage can be purchased from either the Pirate Lord or from any Shipwright as a Pirate Legend for 75 doubloons.
How to complete the A Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage
Once the voyage has been purchased and voted on, as a captain, you will receive the Wayfinder of Legends, a special compass that always points to the direction of the closest cursed treasure. This compass works the same way as any other compass in the game.
To complete the voyage, you simply have to find and dig up five (5) of the cursed treasure chests. These chests can be one of the following:
- Chest of a Thousand Grogs – Holding the chest will make you drunk and affect how you see, move, and operate things.
- Chest of Sorrow – This chest will periodically cry and can flood and sink a ship if it is left unattended.
- Chest of Rage – This chest will slowly charge up and explode, setting everything near it in flames.
- Chest of Boundless Sorrow – This chest is similar to the Chest of Sorrow, except that it cries endlessly, flooding a ship even faster.
- Chest of Legends – Only has a chance to appear as the fifth and final dig of the voyage.
Follow the Wayfinder as it points to the general direction of a cursed treasure. As you get closer, the needle on the Wayfinder will swing less and less until it starts to spin. Then, dig underneath where you are standing and you will find one of the chests. Continue doing this four more times and you will complete the voyage. Each chest that you dig up will also spawn skeletons; they don’t necessarily have to be defeated, but doing so will make the chest retrieval easier.
The real challenge of this voyage is transporting the cursed chests. You or your crew will have to constantly make sure that these chests are kept in check to not cause any trouble during your voyage.
For the Chest of a Thousand Grogs, you only have to bring it back to your ship as quick as possible. For the Chest of Sorrow and Boundless Sorrow, you will have to constantly bail out the water from inside your ship. For the Chest of Rage, you will need to keep it cool by pouring water over it, so having a Chest of Sorrow nearby can help neutralize it.
You can always sell the chest right after so that you won’t have to deal with their effects all at once.
