Reports about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 continuing last year’s Call of Duty story were finally confirmed by Activision.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 New Details
According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, he reported that Activision officially confirmed that the upcoming sequel, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will continue the story of last year’s title. It was vastly rumored before by many leakers that the next Call of Duty game will be the continuation of the Modern Warfare series and now Activision just made that official.
Previous Content Can be Brought Over
Another piece of good news from this confirmation by Activision is the ability for players to bring over content from last year’s game. It was originally planned that Modern Warfare 2 will be getting two years of support, but it seems Modern Warfare 3 was born anyways. This will be developed by Sledgehammer this time around and will be supported by Infinity Ward, Raven, and others.
Call of Duty Breaks Tradition
This will be an interesting year for Call of Duty as it breaks tradition. The franchise usually releases a new game each year and does not continue a series on the next right away. It seems the Modern Warfare series is a hit to the community and appeals more compared to the others like Black Ops and other titles.
