Is Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass?

Many players are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass, especially considering NetherRealms’ track record of bringing titles like Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 to Microsoft’s subscription library in the past. If you’re wondering whether Mortal Kombat 1 will make its way to Game Pass, we’ve got the answer for you right here.

Will Mortal Kombat 1 Be on Game Pass?

No, Mortal Kombat 1 is not coming to Game Pass as a day one release. There are no plans announced from either Microsoft or NetherRealms that the latest in the Mortal Kombat franchise will be included in the Game Pass library any time soon.

Although Mortal Kombat 1 won’t be releasing on Game Pass on its release day, it may be coming in the near future. NetherRealms has previously released Mortal Kombat 11 and Injustice 2 to its library, so the possibility of Mortal Kombat 1 coming to Game Pass isn’t too far off. Though we don’t exactly have a timeframe for when this might happen.

We could see an announcement within a year that Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to Game Pass. Many games available on Xbox Game Pass right now are usually dropped within a year after their release. We’ll just have to wait and see.

If you’re excited to play Mortal Kombat 1, your best bet is to buy a copy of the game. It’s releasing this September 19, 2023, and is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
