Co-Founder of Striking Distance Studios Glen Schofield and three other executives will leave The Callisto Protocol developer Striking Distance Studios.
According to a new report by Bloomberg, Schofield alongside the studio’s COO and CFOs have announced their departure from the studio after the flop of The Callisto Protocol, the supposedly spiritual successor of Dead Space. Note that Schofield is one of the guys behind Dead Space and heavily campaigned for The Callisto Protocol before it got released.
Parent Company Krafton representative stated that all three departures are voluntary. Schofield on the other hand has “decided to pursue new opportunities.” Schofield posted also and described his departure as “bittersweet, but I know the studio is in excellent hands.”
The one to replace Schofield after he leaves the CEO position is another Dead Space veteran. The one who will take his place is Chief Development Officer Steve Papoutsis. He served as a producer for the main series and its many spin-offs at EA.
