Until Then: Afterimages is the upcoming DLC for the critically acclaimed indie game developed by Polychroma Games. Announced back in February, we didn’t get a release date until the Southeast Asian Games Showcase event held live on June 6, 2026. And for those excited to get their hands on this DLC, that day is closer than you think!
Until Then: Afterimages is set to release this June 18, 2026. This release is for all platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

According to the Nintendo official website, the DLC is priced at $4.99 USD. This pricing may be subject to vary depending on your region. Judging from the price alone, it seems to be reasonably sized as an extra content. You will need the base Until Then game to be able to play it.
The original game came out at $19.99 USD and was already a 16-20 hour game. This DLC will be adding two new chapters, and it’s not clear for those who are just starting if you’ll need to clear the base game first before you can start it. However, upon the description, the new chapters are described as Chapter 1 and 2, so it’s possible you may be able to play it without having to clear the original game.
Afterimages will put you into the perspective of two protagonists. Chapter 1 will be about Sofia who has returned to her old home during the lockdown finds that certain places she’s familiar with have vanished and she knows people have grown up as she confronts the past she’s conveniently left behind.
Chapter 2 will be about Mark Borja in his college years. He finds a new love and encounters an unexpected old friend. Has he truly changed as a person? Or will a spark burn down everything he’s built?
