In this latest leak by noted leaker Dusk Golem, the eight title of the franchise has been already in development for over three years. He notes that the planned release for this sequel is this coming 2021. He even said that game company CAPCOM is already prepping the official announcement very soon.
The leaker did say that the eighth game will be a big departure from the series. He even said that the developers are already prepared for the fans to unlike the changes because of how it is designed. He said that it would be like what happened when the original RE3 was announced, but did not give any other details.
