Sony Interactive Entertainment is happy to announce that the recently released video game The Last of Us Part II is now the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive ever.
We reported this information a previous article, but now we have the official numbers coming from SIE. Senior Vice President PlayStation Worldwide Marketing Eric Lempel revealed that the game has sold more than 4 million copies as of June 21. The executive thank the fans for this new milestone since without them the game would not have reached this feat.
Naughty Dog Vice President and Game Director Neil Druckmann has this to say:

We set out to tell a new kind of story, one that deals with difficult themes and would challenge you in unexpected ways.
