    AsiaPOP Comicon 2017 Guest Wishlist

AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2017 is happening next month and the list of invited guests has not been finalized, giving us a chance to fantasize who will be coming to the Philippines. Here is my own wish list of guests I would want to meet come August 25.

    #1 Mark Hamill

The living legend himself. Best known for portraying Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, Hamill has appeared in films like Big Red One and in an accomplished voiced actor appearing in multiple video games and cartoons. Having him for this year’s APCC would be a no brainer if not for the high chance of having conflicting schedules.

    #2 Guillermo del Toro

The sky is the limit with this man. The director of Pacific Rim, Pan’s Labyrinth, the Hellboy movies, and the upcoming The Shape of Water, del Toro is a perfect fit for a pop culture convention! Did I forget to mention he is working with Hideo Kojima for the game Death Stranding?

    #3 Gal Gadot

Prior to taking the title as Princess of the Amazons, Gadot was on screen as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious franchise. Upon taking the title, she has amazed us since appearing in Batman vs. Superman and recently in the standalone Wonder Woman film. She will be reprising her role once again in November’s Justice League, but with the news of reshoots going on, her appearance is not guaranteed.

    #4 Hideo Kojima

We already have del Toro, so why not bring him along? If you have played a Metal Gear game and are not familiar with Kojima, then don’t bother getting out of that box you are hiding in. Kojima has left the franchise after his split with Konami but with his new studio Kojima Production, he is still here to leave another mark with the hyped for Death Stranding.

    #5 Babymetal

I did say this was my list. Babymetal has grown out of being merely another idol group to an international metal sensation. Backed up by the talented Kami band, Su-metal, Moa-metal and Yui-metal bring their own brand of metal to the world. The catch is though they are busy with touring and with the set concert dates it is highly unlikely. One can keep dreaming though.

    Honorable mentions:

    Netflix and Marvel

Both companies have partnered with AsiaPop, so it would not be a surprise to see any of the stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series making an appearance.

So who would you want to see this APCC?
