There are a total of 8 gold doubloons to be found in Bikini Bottom in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. Read ahead as we share the locations of where they can be found and the steps on how to get to them in this guide.
We recommend to complete the entire story of the game first to unlock all the necessary skills that SpongeBob needs in order to reach the locations of the items needed for the quests involved.
All of the doubloons from Bikini Bottom are tied to the side quests of each of the side characters. Talking to them after finding all the items they need will reward you with a doubloon. Click on the quest names below to go to their respective guides.
Doubloon #1 – Patrick’s Sticky Notes
After completing the Wild West Jellyfish Fields world, you’ll be able to find your first sticky note near the Krusty Krab. This will then trigger the start of Patrick’s side quest. After finding all of the sticky notes scattered within Bikini Bottom, head back to Patrick’s rock to complete the quest and get the doubloon.
Doubloon #2 – Plankton’s Pet Spot
After completing the Wild West Jellyfish Fields world, go talk to Plankton over at the Chum Bucket and he will ask for your help to find his pet Spot. Spot can be found hiding in every map. Once all of his hiding spots have been found, talk to Plankton once more to get your doubloon.
Doubloon #3 – Shady Shoals Nurse’s Fortune Cookies
After completing the Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom world, talk to the Shady Shoals Nurse across the street from Sandy’s treedome. She will then ask for you to find all of the fortune cookies for their elderly patients. Once you have found all of the fortune cookies in the Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom world, talk to the nurse once more to get your doubloon.
Doubloon #4 – Mr. Krabs’ Lost Pennies
After completing the Pirate Goo Lagoon world, talk to Mr. Krabs over at the Krusty Krab and he will ask for your help to find his lost pennies. Head over to the Pirate Goo Lagoon once more and locate all of the lost pennies. Once you’re done, talk to Mr. Krabs once more to get your doubloon.
Doubloon #5 – Sandy’s Hot Objects
After completing the Pirate Goo Lagoon world, talk to Sandy in front of Squidward’s house and she will ask you to bring her some hot objects. Once you’ve found all of the hot objects from the Prehistoric Kelp Forest world, talk to Sandy once more to get the doubloon.
Doubloon #6 – Mrs. Puff’s Good Noodle Stars
After completing the Halloween Rock Bottom world, talk to Mrs. Puff over at the Boating School and she will ask for your help to gather good noodle stars. Go to the Halloween Rock Bottom world once more to find all the stars. After collecting all of the good noodle stars, talk to Mrs. Puff once more to get the doubloon.
Doubloon #7 – Squidward’s Refreshments
After bringing back Squidward from the Prehistoric Kelp Forest, he will need some help turning his speech back to normal by giving him his refreshments. Head back to the Wild West Jellyfish Fields to look for all the refreshments, then talk to Squidward once again at his house to hand over the refreshments and get the doubloon.
Doubloon #8 – Twitchy’s Magic Potion
After completing the Halloween Rock Bottom world and bringing back King Gary home to Bikini Bottom, approach King Gary to start the quest. Travel to the Medieval Sulfur Fields and talk to Twitchy. She will help you create a potion that will bring Gary back to normal, but you have to look for the ingredients for her.
All of the ingredients can be found in the Medieval Sulfur Fields. Once you have all the ingredients, talk back to her and she will give you the potion. Head back to Bikini Bottom and approach King Gary again to give the potion and bring Gary back to normal. You will also be rewarded with the doubloon.
