Dragon Empire is a nation that is known for its offensive skills and retiring abilities. It is one of the big nations to be part of the newest game of Bushiroad for Cardfight Vanguard Dear Days. Read on, and this guide will introduce players some new and old sample deck builds that they can try out once the game officially comes out.

    Dragon Empire

What is Dragon Empire - Cardfight Vanguard Dear Days - Overdress

Dragon Empire is one of the oldest races where Dragons reside. It focuses mostly on retiring the opponent’s rearguards allowing the other to control his/ her field easily and gains benefits from it.

Currently, in the game, there are 5 archetypes that players can build and try out and each of these builds focuses on a certain playstyle:

    • The Nirvana Archetype – focuses on the Ovedress mechanic, which allows the player to evolve weaker units into different forms that gain a variety of skills when they are in the OverDress state, such as power-ups, retire, card draw, or re-standing, resulting in a powerful, versatile play style.
    • The Dust Storm Archetype – Uses the soul to clear out the opponent’s field and gain resources. The soul can also be used as a resource to generate power-ups or call more rearguards to capitalize on the opponent’s loss of advantage.
    • The Overlord Archetype – Retires the opponent’s rearguards by attacking them with the Vanguard followed by effects that activate when the Vanguard’s attack hits.
    • The Bavsargra Archetype – Makes use of Arms Orders to empower the Vanguard with additional abilities.
    • The Tamayura Archetype – This one deviates from the usual retire theming, instead of using the Glitter keyword to interact with the Twin Direful Dolls and the Fox Arts to weaken opponent’s units during their Battle Phase and do more attacks during the player’s own Battle Phase.
