The Dead By Daylight Shrine of Secrets is a boon for players who are seeking to give new perks to their characters whether they be Survivor or Killer. Learn what the Dead By Daylight Shrine of Secrets really is and what kind of perks it offers.

What is Dead By Daylight Shrine of Secrets?

The Shrine of Secrets is an in-game store in Dead By Daylight that sells teachable perks to give to other characters. Players who purchase these perks don’t have to grind for them as separate characters which saves a lot of time. Each teachable perk costs Iridescent Shards which depend on what Tier you’re purchasing.

  • Tier 1: 2,000 Iridescent Shards
  • Tier 2: 4,000 Iridescent Shards
  • Tier 3: 6,000 Iridescent Shards

The costs of these teachable perks in Shrine of Secrets gets reduced if you own the previous tier version. If you have a Tier 1 version of the perk you’re buying, then the Tier 2 version will only cost 2,000.

Normally you’d have to grind a specific character and buy the teachable perk from their Bloodweb once it reaches levels about 30 which can take a while. This perk is exclusive to that character but can be equipped by other characters once you’ve unlocked it. The Dead By Daylight Shrine of Secrets allows you to purchase teachable perks for a price so you can skip the grind.

The Shrine of Secrets rotates its contents every week on Wednesday. So you’d have new teachable perks per week to purchase using Iridescent Shards. However the Shrine of Secrets can be updated more frequently during events.

Dead By Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks This Week

  • Dragon’s Grip: After damaging a generator, any Survivor that interacts with it for the next 30 seconds or so will scream, causing their location to be revealed. This also inflicts the Exposed status.
  • Hangman’s Trick: Get a notification when Survivors begin sabotaging a hook. You can see the aura of any Survivor within a few meters of a hook while carrying a Survivor.
  • Overcome: Retain the speed boost after being injured for slightly longer. Inflicts the Exhausted status for a short time.
  • Sole Survivor: Get a token every time a fellow Survivor is killed or sacrificed. For every token, your aura can’t be read within a certain radius. You’ll also gain a speed boost to repairing generators and opening gates when you’re the last Survivor alive.

These teachable perks will be gone next week Wednesday so we suggest picking one that really catches your eye before they’re gone. It can be a tough decision as you may get a more enticing offer next week.

The Sole Survivor is one of the best on offers right now. As a Survivor, the fewer you are, the more advantage you have which is always a boon. Dragon’s Grip is also great for locating players especially early in a match as you can dwindle their numbers before they get too far.

During events like the Dead By Daylight 6th anniversary, the price of these teachable perks can go down. So be sure to take advantage of whenever that happens.
