Eric Baptizat, the former director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, has taken the role of game director of upcoming video game Dead Space Remake.
Baptizat recently confirmed this information on his official LinkedIn profile, where he literally put it on his description that he is now the game director of Dead Space Remake. He has joined Motive Studio and will be the one to helm this new project. He has worked at Ubisoft for 16 years already, directed AC Valhalla, and was the lead designer for two AC titles, which are Origins and Black Flag.
Another Ubisoft veteran, according to media outlet VGC, has also joined the ranks. This time it is Roman Campos-Oriola as Creative Director. He had joined Ubisoft Montreal just a year ago and became the creative director for online multiplayer For Honor. He was also the lead designer for other titles too like Red Steel 1 and 2, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Dead Space Remake was announced last Electronic Art’s EA Play Live last month, which finally confirmed the project. No details yet on when it will launch, but it will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
