Suspending targets in midair will also give you Woven Mail thanks to the Abeyant Leap Exotic. This Exotic leg armor grants you an additional benefit for Drengr’s Lash where it spawns two additional projectiles that track targets further and more aggressively. This Aspect will also suspend enemies which goes right back into giving you Woven Mail and with the Thread of Mind Fragment, you can also get class ability energy restored upon defeating suspended targets. You can add more ways to suspend enemies by making sure to use the Shackle Grenade.

The Flechette Storm is the new Aspect introduced in Season of the Deep and it can send your enemies flying by activating your charged melee ability as you slide. Activating your charged melee again while airborne will release an onslaught of projectiles that unravel opponents. Unraveled enemies take additional damage. And damaging unraveled enemies will cause threads to come out of them which seek out and infect others.

This Titan Strand PVP build centering around the Flechette Storm relies on a lot of the old tricks from previous seasons but it’s even more deadly with the latest Aspect. You’ll be dealing a lot of close-ranged combat fighting enemies head on so expect to make full use of your skills and sliding around. We still recommend bringing in The Immortal SMG Exotic since it’s one of the best PVP weapons all around even in Season of the Deep.

You’ll want to build as much Woven Mail and repeat it for each PVP match. Use Drengr’s Lash whenever you can which generates Woven Mail thanks to the Abeyant Leap Exotic. The Thread of Warding will also help grant you Woven Mail upon picking up Orbs of Power. Woven Mail grants you several benefits here thanks to the Fragments and Artifacts you have. The Strand Soldier gives your weapons Unravelling Rounds when you gain Woven Mail which debuffs enemies and with Improved Unraveling Artifact, you deal even more damage. You can even create Tangles with Final Blows thanks to the Thread of Transmutation when you have Woven Mail.

For utility, we highly recommend the Grapple grenade which is still the best Strand grenade to use in PVP. The Thread of Generation will help you regain grenade energy back upon damaging enemies so you can frequently grapple around. Use the Grapple grenade when you want to melee enemies. There’s actually more utility for Grappling here. Use Flechette Storm midair to Unravel enemies and weaken them whenever possible but since you might leave yourself open, immediately use your Grapple grenade to move back to safety.
