Not only has Epic Games added back lightsabers into the game for two weeks, but they’ve also brought back favorite Star Wars skins in the Item Shop to purchase. You can once again purchase Rey, Finn, Boba Fett, and other Star Wars characters if you haven’t already.

Is Obi-Wan Kenobi Coming to Fortnite? (Updated)
Obi-Wan Kenobi is finally coming to the Fortnite Item Shop on Thursday, May 26, 2022. The celebration that took place on May 4th brought his lightsaber to the Island and provided players with a quick glimpse of his presence. The rumors and speculations are correct.
In addition to the Obi-Wan Kenobi Outfit, these intergalactic items are also available in the Item Shop:
- Desert Essentials Back Bling (included with the Outfit): An assortment of tools perfect for living an isolated existence on a remote desert planet.
- Obi-Wan’s Blade Pickaxe: An elegant harvesting tool for a more civilized age.

These items are available individually or together in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Bundle. This bundle also includes the Kenobi, Surrounded Loading Screen.
You have the option of purchasing the Obi-Wan Kenobi Outfit, Desert Essentials Back Bling, Obi-Blade Wan’s Pickaxe, Jedi Interceptor Glider, and Obi-Emote Wan’s separately or as part of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Bundle.

It is most likely that Obi-Wan Kenobi will be coming to Fortnite. There are several indicators that Epic is planning to add Obi-Wan to Fortnite sometime in the future.
One indicator is the end of the gameplay video on their page showing a man in brown Jedi robes similar to what Obi-Wan wielding Obi-Wan’s iconic lightsaber. Epic Games have stated that their bringing back lightsabers into the game. Lightsabers specifically belonging to Mace Windu (purple), Kylo Ren (red with crossguards), Luke Skywalker (green), and a blue lightsaber they bluntly state out belongs to Obi-Wan.
While blue lightsabers were around during the December 2019 Star Wars crossover with Fortnite, that lightsaber specifically belonged to Rey. This is the first time they’ve added Obi-Wan’s lightsaber. Of course this doesn’t necessarily mean that Obi-Wan is coming since Luke Skywalker and Mace Windu skins aren’t in Fortnite either.
Another indicator is what Epic Games said for acquiring the E-11 Blaster Rifle. According to their page, you can get an E-11 Blaster Rifle by going to the checkpoints Stormtroopers have set up “in search of Obi-Wan.”
It seems that Epic Games is being rather thorough in including Obi-Wan in a crossover that doesn’t explicitly included him yet. While these aren’t concrete evidences that Obi-Wan is coming, it’s sure alarming that Epic decided to namedrop Obi-Wan specifically in lieu if his upcoming show.
And it doesn’t stop with Obi-Wan. There are even rumors that Darth Vader will be coming after Obi-Wan to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3. During the Unreal Engine 5 livestream where Epic “accidentally” shown a screen of files names for upcoming Fortnite skins which included Darth Vader, Doom Slayer, Indiana Jones, and Family Guy.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Skin Release Date in Fortnite (Updated)

It’s expected that Obi-Wan Kenobi skin will release around Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. The Obi-Wan Kenobi show will begin airing on Disney+ this May 27 so we can expect Fortnite to release the Obi-Wan skin sometime around that date.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi skin could also come to Fortnite earlier. From May 3 to May 17 players can wield lightsabers as part of the game’s crossover with Star Wars. Epic Games may announce an Obi-Wan skin before the event is over.
How to Get Obi-Wan Kenobi Skin in Fortnite
You can buy the Obi-Wan Kenobi skin in the Fortnite Item Shop when it releases. This isn’t dissimilar to how Epic Games sold other Star Wars characters. We aren’t sure of the price, but we expect it to be 1,500 V-Bucks like the other skins.
Approximate retail value of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” skin and Back Bling is $20 USD.
Like any other skins, the Obi-Wan skin will only be available for a certain period of time so be sure to get it when you have the chance.

You have a long journey ahead of you, but you won’t have to go through it alone if you enter the Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup. Take part in this Battle Royale Duos tournament with a friend. In addition, both lightsabers and E-11 blaster rifles will be available for use throughout this tournament.
